A Day in the Life of Harlow-14 months old

A Day in the Life of Harlow....

It's time to wake up! I start chirping around 8:30 these days. I play for awhile in my crib and sometimes I even fall back asleep for a little bit. I usually hear Leyla's nails on the tile and call out for her "Leyla, Leyla, Where are you?" and when my mommy opens the door to my bedroom, I say "There she is!" Never-mind my mommy. She's always around. Even first thing in the morning, I don't mind posing my cheese face. But those lights are SO bright!

Awww. Time for my bottle. My mommy says that these days are numbered, but I usually get my way so we will see about that! I love my bottle so much!

Time for breakfast at the table. We are in a hurry this morning because we are going to the zoo! I'm so excited that my daddy is home today!

Ok, ready to go. Look at my pretty hair!

Why did you take away my brush?!?!

Kissing Leyla Sissy-dog goodbye!

Daddy was showing me the brass turtles.

This tiger sort of scared me. I was holding pretty tight to my mommy's shirt.

This is my friend Addie. She and her mom met us at the zoo today!

As usual, I am in control, practically dragging Addie behind me!

But I did share my snacks with her (sort of)

Flamingos....just for Papa K

There is an awesome water fountain at the zoo. My mom and dad really wanted me to play in it. However. That thing was terrifying. I whined and fussed and latched onto my mom so I didn't have to run around. I hope I'm not scared all summer because my mom told me that she is going to take me to the pool every week until I'm not scared anymore.

Finally, they gave up and let me watch on the bench while I ate my lunch.

I was looking at the tigers with my daddy in this picture. My mommy picked out this tiger from the gift shop and I loved it. I didn't let it go all day! My mommy keeps saying this is her favorite picture of me ALL DAY!
Back home and nap time! Still have my tiger with me!
It's time to wake up from my 2.5 hour nap! I was tired after all that busy sightseeing at the zoo! I think my arms is stuck! Oh no! Help!

Just kidding mommy!

It's time for snack! Daddy likes to put me to work and get my own chair out!

Finally, I got myself sitting in the chair!

Now, it's time for us to go to the playground and play! I got to wear my pretty green skirt so my mommy could take pictures of me for St. Patrick's Day! I had so much fun climbing around!

Now, it's time for dinner with my mommy and daddy! I love to sit outside and flirt with everyone. I saw 3 dogs while we ate! It was so much fun! My mommy forgot my special cooler, so I ate avocado slices, some of daddy's hamburger, some of mommy's chicken and some crackers. It was all so yummy! I was such a good girl too, I always keep myself entertained and happy.

I'm learning to wipe my own face. I'm such a big girl!!!

Some how I got a hold of a food called "onion". I have no idea what this is, but since I grabbed it myself, I ate it.
Kisses for my mommy!

Still happy as can be, even after that long day I had!

Playing around before bath time. I can now climb onto all the couches and furniture.

I'm not too happy when I get out of the bath. Never have been. I just want to be cozy in my P.J.'s and milk in my belly!

I give my bottle to my daddy just like mommy told me to!

Being silly before bedtime. Anything to get a few more minutes with my lovies.

Night night! I had a great day!

How amazing is this little gal. We had such a great time today. She is just always so happy and easy to please. She loves her daddy so much and seems to really enjoy her time with him. She is also slightly obsessed with dogs these days. Until next time!

Harlow is 14 months old! WHAAT?

No excuses for the lack of posting that has been happening....just lots of pictures to share. BTW, I am trying to post all our videos to the youtube channel because it take me only seconds and I can do it via my phone!

We are all doing great, baby boy is doing awesome and treating his mama really good. He is kicking me all the time and you can even see my belly move! These days, Lolo loves to lift up shirts and point out belly buttons. She loves to dance to music and is still loves to be outside as much as possible! She loves her daddy so much and lights up like a Christmas tree when he gets home each night!

We are still waiting on news on the offer we put in on a house, hoping to hear news by 3/15 which is the deadline for our contract. It's getting hot here, the cooler nights are soon going to be over so we try to enjoy them as much as possible!

And one year ago this is what we were up to....

Harlow's 12 month pictures

Finally, right? Yes, it has been awhile since our last post and clearly it is past Harlow's 1 year birthday. But, I'm just now getting around to editing her pictures. In my iPhoto folder, I have over 11,000 pictures, 95% of which are from 12-17-2010-present. That is just ridiculous. Just until last week, we couldn't find our computer stick to transfer pictures from camera to computer so that held me up a bit as well. So, here they are! As you can see, we have a tough time getting her to look at the camera. Dad tries his best, but she usually just stares at him with her mouth gaping open. Haha. So.......we did the unthinkable. We took her to Sears to get some pictures done *gasp*. Hey, let me just say, I have nothing against Sears Portraits, but it's just not my style. But I was desperate, it was January, almost a month past her 12 month birthday for crying out loud! I couldn't get her to look at me and I was yelling at Dax like it was his fault. There was no time to book a photographer at this point in the game. Anyway, the photographer at Sears was able to get a ton of shots with her looking directly into the camera! I was so jealous! Those pictures are not available online but no worries, we got enough for everyone to have at least a couple! Coming soon! Here are mom's version, which by the way, I still love!!

And now......

Meet Gianni. This is the son of a dear friend who just adopted this beautiful little peanut. I was lucky enough to get to photograph him the other day at just 7 days old. Boy, he is just yummy! At 6.5 lbs, he was smaller than LoLo ever was! And so much more mellow than our little gal. I remember having to do lots of shushing and patting to get Harlow's newborn shots done. This little man let me move him any which way for hours while he was content to sleep! It was a bunch of fun and another learning experience for me! The white quilt was made by his grandmother who is critically ill with cancer and not expected to live more than a few more days. I really wanted her to be able to see a photo of her grandson with the blanket before she passes. It was truly an honor to hold this little baby with his whole life ahead of him knowing he is surrounded by so much love ♥

Christmas 2011

We had such a great visit in Texas this year. We really considered it Harlow's first Christmas since last year she was only 1 week old. We spent a lot of time with Grammie and Papa and just hanging out at the house and playing with all the new toys Santa brought! We also ate a lot of good food, just like always! Harlow had the exciting job of making a very important announcement! By this time, most of our blog readers know the news...but Harlow is going to become a BIG SISTER! We are so excited to have another little one running along side of Lo. We went for our 12 week ultrasound and everything is looking great! I can't believe that we are already out of the first trimester! Holy Cow, time flies when you are having fun!! The newest Kuykendall will be here around the middle of July. His/her name is JJ!

Here are some pictures of our time in Texas. I know Harlow already misses her family in Texas. Especially Papa K laughing at everything she does. Her most favorite trick of the week is to go "AHHHH" after she takes sip of water. Papa and Daddy worked on that and laugh every single time she does it! The youtube channel is also updated with two new videos. Enjoy! And Happy New Year!

LoLo in her new kicks. We bought these pants for her before she was born and she can finally wear them! I have been dying to get her some Puma's but Dax made me wait till she was walking. Grammie found the perfect ones when we did some after Christmas shopping! How cute is she???
