What day is it?

That is the question I have been asking myself lately. It's really easy to lose track of time when you are caring for a young infant 24 hours a day. Last week started off with a bang but quickly took a turn for the worse when I got sick starting on Tuesday. It wasn't until Thursday that I found out I had step throat and started the antibiotics. Harlow had a tough week too, especially at night. She all the sudden started getting up every 2 hours or so and had a hard time getting back to sleep. Maybe she missed having Daddy around all day. I know I sure did, especially at night when I was up with her all by myself. Thank goodness for drugs, by Saturday I was feeling much better. Harlow also has had a great stretch of sleeping nights too! So, we are all back to normal, hopefully for awhile.

Friday morning we have Harlow's 2 month check up! I am really excited to see how much she weights and how much she has grown since her 2 week check up since we don't have a scale at our house. I think she has gained at least 3-4 pounds, so my guess is somewhere around 12 pounds. She is fitting into her 0-3 month clothes, some 3-6 month in brands that run smaller. Newborns sizes are already packed up as they are too small.

Some things about Harlow:

1. Her personality has started to emerge, I think she is going to be a spitfire. When she is unhappy, she lets you know...quite loudly and abruptly!
2. She enjoys her swing and play mat now, and will usually sit swinging by herself after her breakfast while Mommy tries to quickly eat and drink her morning coffee.
3. She loves her Daddy so much and he can almost always get her to smile for him. Mommy has to work a bit harder or go away and then come back. I guess she looks at mommy all the time so she's not that interesting or exciting to her yet!
4. She is sleeping in her crib like a big girl!
5. Her hair is starting the thin out a bit and we are trying to decide if it is also getting lighter in color....I guess time will tell!
