Harlow's 18 month pictures and House pictures!

Here are Harlow's 18 month pictures taken tonight!  We got a few good ones, but mom, dad, and Harlow were pretty sweaty by the end.  I'm surprised I didn't just go into labor right then and there with that little turkey making me work so hard for every shot.  I am pretty pleased with what we got all things considered!  It will be the last photo shoot of just our little peanut.  I can't believe my next photo shoot will be Baby JJ! Hope you enjoy;-)

This is a classic picture of the little s**t running away from Daddy while Mommy frantically tries to get the shot anyway!

 Mama's favorite;-)

House pictures!  Finally my house was clean enough to take some shots.  We have almost everything hung up and put away, at least for the most part.

Harlow's play room!

Living room and bay window

Living room....any ideas for the TV wall?  I'm thinking about getting some canvas made up of the kiddos and putting them up there.  Eventually we are going to get a much larger entertainment center, so I don't really want to spend a lot of energy figuring it out...

Entry way bench and coat rack

Kitchen;-)

This is our family picture wall!
Our bedroom with the Co-Sleeper ready to go!  We need some more art on our walls here, but I'm not sure what to put up just yet;-)

Our safer version of TV watching.  Dresser secured to the wall=no more nightmares of a 300 pound TV falling onto small children.....

BabyJJ's room!  Vintage Cowboy anyone?

We still need a few pieces of art to hang and a rug for the crib and we should be all set.  I love that we finally get to use this obnoxious (sorry Sheri) lamp shade.  It's been in storage for as long as I've known Dax.  I knew we would eventually be able to use it somehow!!

My pinterest project!  We took off the closet doors and made a little nook for JJ's changing table!  Love! Once this little peanut gets a name, we will add to the pegboard somehow.

JJ's crib!  I love how it turned out and I hope he does too.  Cause he'll be sleeping here till he won't fit anymore;-)

Papa K's old records!  They look so nice!

That's it.  I forgot to take some pictures of our yard.  It is really quite big and green!  It's so much nicer than our old pile of dirt yard.  It's been so hot, and I've been so pregnant, that I don't spend enough time out there, but I will soon!  Harlow loves to play outside with Leyla.

Our next post should be sharing pictures of our new little peanut.  Please say a prayer for us, especially for Harlow and Mommy.  I'm most concerned about her needs being met while me and Dax are at the hospital.  We will have to stay 3 full nights before they will release me this time so it will be the first 3 nights Harlow will be without me.  It's going to be very difficult for me to say the least (she will probably be just fine).  Hopefully, this little guy arrives when my mom is here so that she can take care of Harlow for us which is the best case scenario for me.

We are so excited for this new adventure in our lives, we can hardly stand it.  I'm to the point where I'm so very ready for this watermelon to not be attached to my stomach anymore.  As fun as peeing 5 times every night has been, it's time little guy.  Until next time,

Harlow is 18 monhts old and 2.0 is coming soon!

The countdown for Baby K 2.0 is on.  We have about 3.5 weeks left (or less) until his arrival.  He will be here by no later than 7/11/12 and we are ALMOST ready.  My mom and nephew Mathew came to visit us last week and we had a pretty good time!  We did spend a lot of that time fixing up the house, hanging things and getting the baby's room done.  I have never been around a more helpful 15 year old in my life.  I am sure that neither Dax nor I was as helpful as Mathew was at his age.  I really miss having him around.  Harlow adored both of them and was constantly entertained, so she misses them as well! Mathew was so willing to jump in and do whatever we needed.  All we had to do was feed him;-)

I want to take some pictures of our new house but just haven't gotten it done yet.  Most of everything is put together and hung up.  That will be my project in the next few weeks.  I have about 2 weeks of work left and then one more week to just relax and enjoy some quiet time with Harlow.  Wait, who am I kidding?  There is no such thing as quiet time with Harlow.  However, there is such a thing as quiet time while Harlow naps.  So, I guess that will do.

We know that she is going to be a great big sister, but part of me is sad that she will no longer be our baby.  She only got to be the baby for 18 months.  At the same time, she is doing all kinds of awesome and funny things that make Dax and I laugh everyday.  She is so smart and funny.  Life of the party.  Now, when we are out and about, she randomly says "HI" and waves to everyone that we pass until she gets someone to stop and ogle over her.  And her hair has a personality of it's own!  It's going to be so neat to see who 2.O (JJ's) personality and looks will take after.  Will he be a snuggler since his sister is definitely NOT?  Will he look like Dax or me?  Will he be a good eater and sleeper?  Will he be over 9 pounds like they told me Harlow would be?  BTW, she was 8.3 pounds and 20 3/4 inches long.

One more funny thought.  Even though it has only been 18 months since we were last at the hospital, or at home with a brand new baby, we have totally forgotten almost everything.  Like what did Harlow wear while at the hospital?  How much sleep did we get those first few nights?  When did we give her a paci for the first time?  Did she cry a lot?  When did we bathe her?  And the list goes on and on.  I'm sure we will be just fine, it's just amazing that so many small details are totally lost in time.
